Law Courts Center has been providing continuing professional development to lawyers, paralegals, trust accountants and legal assistants for the last 21 years. It also has an extensive list of published desk reference manuals.
5 years ago, Dom Bautista began the Amici Curiae Pro Bono Programme. It operates 6 legal forms workshops for self-represented litigants, including battered women and transgender women, First Nations Peoples and the poor, who need help completing their court forms. These workshops provide lawyers, paralegals, accountants, librarians and assistants meaningful roles in increasing access to justice. For our students, it provides them with an invaluable opportunity to be exposed to other facets of law they they would not necessarily work on in their current job.
